INTERNSHIPS

The Internship Program emphasizes the artist's place, not as a specialist, but as an inventive, interdisciplinary problem solver.

Since 1974, artists, architects, art historians, arts administrators, and academics have come from five continents to participate in the studio experience and professional practices training that is the John David Mooney Foundation Apprentice and Internship Program. Highly-motivated, creative individuals of different disciplines are selected from throughout the United States and abroad to form the Foundation's resident team of interns. The program's philosophy of social consciousness, experiential learning, and leadership training demands that each participant actively engage in all aspects of studio management and problem solving while implementing the philosophical tenet of the Foundation: The Responsibility of the Artist to Society.

To learn more about past participants in the John David Mooney Foundation Apprentice and Internship Program, please see Alumni in the News, Interns in Residence 2003-2004, or view the list of nations and universities represented by past Apprentices and Interns.

The Foundation does not charge tuition for its educational services, nor are the internships and apprenticeships paid positions.
